For my brothers birthday cake, he requested 2 things: Chocolate cake, and strawberries.
This was a classic chocolate genoise cake, filled and iced with 2 layers of dutch milk chocolate moose. He mentioned that he loved japanese candy, so I covered the sides with chocolate pocky (he was thrilled!) and sugared some fresh strawberries for the top. it stood at about 81/2 inches tall, which is pretty big for a cake, and was absolutely delicious! We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
